Hi Everyone:

To go along with the best mobile Video App, we've been silently working on a patent-pending stabilizer handle (with tripod mount) for mobile devices for a long time.

I just didn't want to announce here until after I had the final, packaged product (in large quantities) in my hands ready to ship. :)

We received our first shipment of 5,000. Now available on A

The best stabilizer is the one you have with you (next to your keys in your front pocket)!

Someone asked if our handle has a 1/4-20 on the bottom. Yes it does.

Michael, is there enough adjustment to hold my 4s while in my otterbox commuter?

Hi Alan:

Absolutely (or your money-back). :)

We designed it to handle just about every mobile device and every case. We even use it with one of those "extra-battery" cases and those are quite thick. I did come across one case that was too thick but I think it was an off-brand battery booster add-on.

Several questions have been asked:

1. Does have a 1/4-20 on the bottom for tripod use
2. Supports cases up to 1/2" thick
3. Shipping now at $29.99 + $3.99 S/H in U.S. (Shipping at cost other countries)
4. Just email at the link on i4videocamera.com/steadfast/ for more info

Thanks,

Michael

Ours is only $29.99 and folds down small enough to fit in your front pocket. That's why I invented a smaller, lighter solution.

Hi Michael your product looks really well designed, I will look for it on Amazon. The stabilizer presented by the competition on the kitchen table looks clunky and heavy, kind of negates the reason for using the iPhone doesn't it?

Thanks William.

BTW, I was at the park today with the family and my kids were having so much fun I wanted to catch it on video. Of course my EPIC wasn't with me so I reached for my iPhone, I shot a couple shaky clips at first and then remembered that my Steadfast stabilizer was in my front pocket with my keys, I pulled it out, adjusted it to my iPhone and started following them around like Garrett Brown in Rocky. :)

You can order one now via email at that link. May be another few weeks for Amazon because of their approval policy.

Amazon approved the product for fulfillment by Amazon and we are shipping them our first few boxes today. Will be available soon for purchase directly from Amazon and I'll update this thread when it is.

Also, cool news...Verizon Wireless stores in the Phoenix area are testing out the product for sale in 5 of their larger stores.

Hi Michael,

Great idea and cool product. Can we see some samples of stabilized motion?

Also, I'd like to use this with my Nokia N8 - will it fit the handle?

Thanks,

Catalin

Used it yesterday with my LG Optima. Works perfectly. Easy to use, simple and quick to attach, and slips into my pocket when I'm done.

Thanks, Michael! :D

Hi Catalin:

The handle stabilizes your moving shots well if you are standing still and just moving your arm or body. If you are walking or running, there aren't any springs or other mechanisms to stabilize that type of motion. The premise is that holding the device from below with only one hand vs. holding the device itself with two hands significantly cuts down on slight shake and allows for much smoother shots. I'll try to post a comparison soon.

It should work with the Nokia N8. The only phone it doesn't work with is a new Droid that has a full pull out keyboard. It handles up to 1/2 inch thick.
