  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Adobe / RED Webcast next Thursday morning

Ted,

I can only begin to tell you how much this bums me out... I'll be at Reducation when this is happening! I'm a die hard Premiere user too! I'm new to Red/Epic. I'm cutting with Premiere no, problems... it's the OUTPUT... people are telling me all of my shots look out of focus. I'm skipping the RCX step, as PP edits R3D natively... however, I'm uncertain of how to Debayer the footage on the Adobe outbound side... this sounds like something I need to see!

Will you or Adobe post this online somewhere after its completion? That would be so helpful!

Hey Curt,

No need to be bummed out my man! The Webinar... I mean the Webcast will be tomorrow-Thursday Feb. 23rd at 10am Pac time, NOT Thursday March 1st. Also the Webcast will be recorded for viewing when you the have time to watch it at a later date. :)

I will be at REDucation as well so please come up and introduce yourself... We are going to have an incredible time! :)

I hope this helps...

Cheer,

Andrew

Just registered.

Just about to start the Webcast here - got a Scarlet and EPIC in my hands to show off for a few minutes, before handing it off to Wes to go over the Adobe workflow in tandem with the interaction RED CINE X Pro hand off.

Here's the link to sign in directly.

Hi Ted,

I'm having trouble getting signed into this webcast. Will there be something available for me to download?

My 4min short film is currently in premiere.
It was shot in 4.5k 2.39:1 (downscaling 50% and cropping away the sides will match the framing done on set)
A first grade was done in redcine-X.
I will do final grade in after effects.
Delivery format in 2K DCP

1: How should I downscale the material? Redcine-X, premiere, or after effects?

When color grading in after effects..

2: Should I copy-paste the clips from premiere into a AE timeline,or should I use dynamic link?
- If dynamic link, how is that done? I´ve only managed to figure out how to link a single clip from premiere into AE.
