Strange artefacts

Hi everyone,

just wanted to know your opinion on these screenshots.
Since they appear always on the same region I'm wondering if my Scarlet is already about to die.
Should I send it back or wait a littel longer and observe this problem. I've a shoot in 2 days so I'll see what happens and take a canon as backup with me.
For the following projects I need to know what to do and there are a lot.

try a reflash in firmware and black shade. if that doesn't fix it, time to file a ticket with RED if you are getting that consistently.

is this what it looks like in camera or when you export from redcineX?

Its from Premiere pro.
I rebooted premiere and switched resolution for preview, but its always like this.
Even when I export.

I was so happy with the cam and the footage till now

I know its not ideal but you can transcode in RedcineX Pro and then edit with those files in Premiere. You obviously lose the Raw ability in Premiere but you can edit in Premiere, export an XML, Import into Resolve Lite (Free Program), relink and color the 4K files and then export in up to 1080p....

I have had compression issues like these back with RED ONE and it was related to a faulty CF side module - which was replaced by RED...
Definitely contact RED support...

Same problem is in Redcine-x.
Just tried it.

I hope its just the SSD as Peter said, but it happened on both SSDs.

I contacted Red and will wait for reply.

Definitely file a support ticket and send us a log file. With that sort of artifact consistently showing up, I think we should take a look at that camera.
