IS or no IS

I'm ordering some canon 70-200mm lenses for my scarlets, but before I order I need to figure something out. On B&H they have an IS lens & one without IS. There's almost $1000 difference in the cost of the lenses. I'm pretty familiar with the concept of IS, but is it worth the extra cash for shooting motion? Will I notice a big difference?

I would not even consider owning a 70-200 without the IS.

Can you explain the actual benefit of IS in motion shooting?

Definitely get IS.

IS in motion shooting means you can shoot handheld without making the viewer sick.

Not the best for every occasion but great when you need it.

yes to IS, especially for the 70-200
