  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

a few shots from the first days shooting on a doc - scarlet x canon

Looks great. Kinda reminds me of the Italian Market right here in Philadelphia, you know the one from Rocky.

I can not wait to grade this when it's Done. I left It in Redfilm log with a slight s curve and green in black just to show the client who is over the moon:) like you say so much room when and if you need it.

IMHO, I'd say to be careful not to make the footage look to "movie like" to be effective for a doc. I think it will be harder for the viewer to believe it's real. People when they're asked say they trust footage that looks like video more because they're used to seeing it on TV in the news and therefore are conditioned to think it's real. I have to add, I'm only saying this because perhaps the footage looks too good. Nice shooting.

Looks great! I kind of like that there is only a slight grade in this case, really nice look for documentary

This is true. Nevertheless I personally prefer docs with beautiful/ poetic images like this one: https://vimeo.com/16937523

But I also really enjoy this one as it it is Suresh. I don`t think I would resist grading the hell out of it though... Hehehehe

thank you - its really hard not to get lost in the possibilities when using REDRAW, i just wanted to share my excitement and get something up

its not perfect by no means but the 4k raw is amazing and for all its niggles the images speak for themselves ( i think:) i was going to get the c300 but i'm so glad i didn't
