  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

What happend to this philosophy?

Philosophy change...

Up 'til now, we have said what we are "going to do".

As of now, that has changed (we promised that everything is subject to change... including our strategy).

We will only announce new things when they are done and ready to ship. That includes Scarlet and all other new products and accessories.

We used to go by "always late but worth the wait". That will no longer be the case because we won't telegraph what we are planning anymore. There will be no possibility of us being late. No more "we expect this to be done by..."

From now on it will only be "Here is is and we are ready to ship".

Actually, I made the mistake of posting an attempt at a clear response to the thread when the original poster made little attempt to accomplish the same. Too many threads are being made with the sole intent of complaining about not-having the Scarlet-X shipped to them yet, and if this is another variation then I feel no desire to contribute to forum crapping. If it's not, then feel free to clarify.

It sounds like you're not best pleased about the wait. Understandable, if you ordered on the evening of the 3rd as we've now entered the third month since release at Dec 1st, AL or late Nov, PL and quite a number have shipped. I waited a few days to get my facts and figures right before placing an order on Nov 10th (SO#3659). I'll prob not get mine till late feb, march or even April and I only ordered a week after announcement, ah well.
I am of the mind that a camera system this popular was always going to have a wait attached to it, regardless of official statements. Not knowing when you placed an order but assuming it was early days after release, I'd just be thankful that your day is fast approaching mate. Not much can be done to speed things up but stick with it and imagine how stoked you'll be when it happens!
I'm afraid I also reckon these are the only kind of cheer up responses you might get!

I am just a few orders off of you. (3690) I really really hope it is by the end of Feb. It is a different mind set buying a specialty product vs. a mass produced one. Mentally I know it, but man, is it a hard wait. I want to get some shots with the Orchards blooming and I am just hoping my Scarlet gets here in time!
