On the topic of top plates, I'd love to know if the Wooden Camera Easy Plate XL can be mounted at 90 degrees on the top of the Scarlet-X, the same direction that the Easy Stick mounts in. Does it fit with any of the slots in this position?

That's the only way the WC EP XL fits actually, otherwise it hits against the raised vent, unless you were to overhang it out the front I suppose.

Thanks, David. I thought that might be the case. Do you know if it fits on all of the mounting slots? Also, does anybody have any photographs of this plate in action?
Sorry, I have hijacked your thread a little, Alexis!

Not at all.. Actually curious what people think of the different marketed or "creative" solutions. I noticed that red spaced their 1/4 20 holes differently from the other manufacturers, so started to wonder about compatibility with products and attachments coming on the market.

I use the Red Tactical Top Plate and have been really really happy with it. I use it with a bunch of Wooden Camera Accessories and they all are a perfect fit so far for my configs.

VF all the way. I've seen almost everyones accessories in person, at this point It's my opinion that VF still offers not only the best industrial design but also a extremely high level of attention to detail in the machining of their parts.

Not to mention that several large LA rental facilities are outfitting their epic/scarlet packages with VF's FMJ system.

They are also releasing a $149 top plate which is the best deal out there!
