  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

WTB: Arri MFF-1

Chris,

we are starting a special sale for MFF-1 with a special price.

The reason for that is that we discontinue the MFF-1 by replacing it with the MFF-2. There are some MFF-1 left on stock - ex-demo and new - which we are selling until they are finished for a special price on a first come first serve basis.

If you are interested please contact your local sales rep from ARRI.

Seriously, why is an ARRI product manager even on this site? only 2 posts just signed up. How long you been trolling?

you are aware of pending legal action from RED vs ARRI right?

sorry to hijack your thread Chris. but that post above is just wrong imho.

I have a MINT ARRI MMB-1 I will sell you for a fair price... but since Arri has announced HERE on REDUSER... a new product and I presume they are NOT a reduser sponsor.... well I will let jarred and the mods sort this one out.

Some serious kahonies posting ANYTHING Arri on this website

Tim,

I have signed in a few days ago.

The MFF-2 is not a new product - it was announced some months ago on trade shows.

I am not offering a special sale for MMB-1 but for MFF-1.

I do not know why you are offending me in that way and I do not know what this has to do with any legal action but if RED will agree that I am not allowed to post something like this I am willing to disappear again.

The Pro Accessories line from ARRI is defined as camera independent accessories. We are offering accessories for all professional cameras in the market like the RED Scarlet and EPIC for which we just made a base plate. I have mentioned that not advertising for the product but showing you that we work with and for all camera manufacturers which offer cameras for a professional use.

I've just have got Arri EOS C300 base plate kit that will fit nicely with my ARRI MFF-1.

Hi,

Philip is a great guy, I have been talking to him over the e-mail and here on reduser.
I don't see what the problem is.

Tim, I like you, too, but I think you crossed the line a bit with your post my friend.
Let's be polite and welcome the new guests on reduser.

George

I am a little upset with Arri, because of the ongoing legal difficulties with Red. I see that from Red's side - but Arri is a big company with a long history. For the most part I believe they have our (film makers) interests in mind as they develop their products and services.

Not that I agree with their latest offerings as "best", but they are doing what they think is really best.

I think this was a legitimate and informative post. I thank Phillip and ARRI for being willing to post here despite their difficulties with Red.

Put another way ... Red and Arri's business is theirs and not mine.

As to the notion of "devaluing" your hardware Tim, Arri can not help that. No company can.

Arri, and Red's (and everyone else!!) job is to make new and better stuff.

It will sell because its in brand new condition, and because it has new engineering and design refinements.

Even if they NEVER made a new anything, your whatsit will sell for less because its used.

I mean is it fair to say Red devalued Red One's by introducing Epic and Scarlet? I saw a freshly MX'd R1 kit going for $11000 or so today on here.

That's a completely natural result of progress. Maybe you are too accustomed to the "price protection" Sony et. al. "offered" their users by keeping prices high as they trickled new technology out. You know ... the days before Red came along.

Sorry, I am not happy with this knee jerk anti-Arri attitude ... just as unhappy as I am with the anti-Red folks.
