I'm curious to know how long a dionic 90 will power an Epic with the Bomb EVF and no other accessories.
Anyone happen to know?
thanks,
Michael

I have the switronix 90 and it lasts 90 minutes on standby. Only LCD connected though.

You use dionic 90's on an Epic or Scarlet? If it's an Epic then what kinds of time is the battery giving you given "normal" operation with just the LCD.
thanks !

I've read you need the Dionic HC as this is suited for the higher power draw of EPIC
source or link please?

We rock Dionic 90's all day on EPIC work about 90 minutes each. no issues with high drain. So Id love to know where you read that?

we get about 60 minutes with touch screen LCD and a follow focus motor attached via d tap. I like the battery, but hate the charge times.. We shut down camera and remove battery connection when we know we are not going to roll within 5 minutes... I have considered purchasing a duracell power pack - 600 whours, but it requires the Epic ac cable... not the best config, but 600wh for 170$ . Havent purchased one yet, would love to know if the power pack voltage is clean enough not to cause problems

My Beillen batteries are 95 Wh, AB mount, half the price, charge simultaneously in 75 minutes on a dual charger, run the camera for an hour (with a TV Logic monitor that draws an additional 20% of the camera's power). You get the charger free when you buy $1,000 worth of batteries (compared to the $900 AB charger that's much bulkier). www.beillen.tv

(I don't work for these folks, they're just too damn good to keep a secret.)

Epic/Scarlet draw 50W. TV Logic draws 10. As your voltage drops from 15.8 (full) to 13, then 12.5, you're drawing more amps because the voltage is lower. In other words the battery goes from 30% to 10% much faster than it goes from 100% to 80%.

Nathaniel, I wouldn't trust it without some sort of line conditioner or a written statement from Duracell stating it's clean voltage and they'll pay for your camer if it isn't...

Ryan,
wouldnt the transformer on the red ac adapter clean the power? I have been in many locations- especially residences where voltage in home fluctuates every time the airconditoner turns on.. Out on the eastern end of Long Island, the lights in my home dim and brighten all the time as well and I have had no issues with my computers or anything else... Should i not plug in ac adapter? Or do you think its neccasarry to always use a panamax line conditioner? Household AC is just not that clean ever
