  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Request to RED

The "Format Media..." button on the Media Dialog brings up a separate Format Dialog that can be dismissed without actually formatting the media. What is the concern?
 
Better safe than sorry.
 
I'm used to using the double buttons in front of the SSD slot, seem logical to push buttons in front of the card to eject the card. But yeah, you can't one touch format, the second dialogue box prevents this so no huge worry there.

I'm fine with using the double buttons but ac's don't always do that and yes, there is a second menu but still they are right beside each other. In the fast pace of production it's one slip of the finger. It would be a simple fix and one that I'd like to happen.

I agree.
 
Use the side handle (programmable) to eject your media. Then use the menu on the monitor to format. Build this into your routine and it won't be an issue.

I do that. The different ac's that I work with don't . The people that rent my camera may not. It is an issue. All I'm asking is for the button to be moved over at least one space and not for workarounds. I can't be the only person who thinks that putting the commonly used eject button next to the " delete everything that Ive shot already" button is a little strange, can I ?
