Few small qualms.

Sometimes my Scarlet #248 locks up for no reason. If for example im using False color, and i hit record, it just locks up. power down, power up and fixed. Not such a big deal as i know to just turn everything off when i hit record, and then reactivate the FC, or focus assist, or RAW etc.....

All like this or just mine?

No lock-ups, but my Scarlet has her own quirks:

Sometimes playback refuses to load a clip, displaying instead a sickening pink/green/purple mess; clips load just fine in RedCine.

Sometimes the SDI path is split in two. Horizontally or vertically, a percentage of the image is repositioned about 100 pixels to the left or the right. Once it displayed the left 1/3 of the image on the right 1/3 of the screen.

Firmware, firmware, firmware...

No lock ups so far. My biggest issue is with the touch LCD being a bit unresponsive at times. Definitely looking forward to getting my sidehandle and redmote soon.

Timur, I don't have my Scarlet yet, but common reasoning would lead me to try a firmware re-flash before worrying too much. I know there are inherent bugs in the firmware, but stuff like this that's not consistent with the majority of the other cameras in the wild tells me it's probably something that can be easily fixed with a firmware re-flash. Good luck!

Now that its been cycled on and off a few times, the problems are less frequent.

Thanks guys...

Also my touch screen is very unresponsive. Used a good one today, #241 belongs to khalid mohtaseb. Very accurate and responsive.

I've had playback load clips but have the control buttons greyed out, which a reboot fixed. When in doubt, power cycle!

Interesting. Mine is pretty terrible too. I pretty much can't select anything in a menu list.

Ours just came in today and the touch screen is quirky at best. Sometimes it will load a clip for playback and sometimes it wont. Powercycle fixes it but it's unreliable. It's also finicky with navigation. Hoping firmware fixes it or it's going back for a replacement.

Looks like one great way to get the Scarlet to lock up is to try to program the user-keys. I've tried 3 times, had it lock up 3 times right now on firmware 2.0.5. Only a hard power down and reset fixes it. Any way this could be user error?
