I ask because although I assumed they would not work, a search did come with one person using them on their Epic.

The 95wH look like they are rated for 55W but Scarlet manual says 60Wh draw so I don't understand how it could work but thought I'd check..stranger things have happened.

I'd rather use more of smaller batteries to keep size and weight down when possible. Next GMP size that looks like it would work according to rating is the 165Wh (79W rating)

Cheers!

Also curious about that battery?

I ordered (and quickly received) 2x 95Wh and 2x 160Wh GMP V-lock batteries. The label for the 95Wh says it's rated for 6.6Ah, which my remedial understanding of it means it should be good for about 80W north of 12V, so I'm figuring it should work. I don't know why they say 54W, there might be another factor I don't understand, or they just mislabled it. If it doesn't work for the Scarlet, which I won't get for a month probably, I've got other uses for them. Hopefully they work though, almost a pound lighter than the 160Wh.

GMP has some new RED batteries on the way... 95W/h with a nifty feature you haven't seen before. ;)

We used the high load IDX bricks, but a bit pricey. We are interested in the GMP's. Right now our 88Wh (6?14Ah) can juice up up to 3 hrs @ 30W. curious, what does the Scarlet pull (watts)?

A W/h on the SCARLET is about an hour... so it makes for easy math. The 160 W/h GMP batteries last about 3 hours (they're spec'd at 14.4 V).

Cool..so did your source give you any timeframe on this?

But I'm still wondering if anyone out there is using these existing 95wH GMP's and can confirm they work firsthand on their scarlets or epics? They're so rediculously cheap they would be a great battery for backups when running out of power if you're away from a charger

Finally got my Scarlet, and tested the 95wH GMP on it. It totally works. I haven't had a chance to see how long it lasts yet, but only dropped from 15.9v to 15.6 after 5-10 minutes.

Are you saying that they communicate with the camera as well? I thought only the 160WH and up did that?
