  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Welcome back Jim. I swear the M sensored cameras must be looking like MX sensored cameras by now. Except the MX sensored cameras are getting better too. No need to trade up. No need to buy the next model three years later. Just download yet another free update. Awesome!

Very excited to have a look at this -we're about to begin our online for my feature Path OF Souls...and anything to improve upon already great images will be welcomed! Everyone who's seen cuts of the film tell us how gorgeous it is, and that's in large part to Red for putting Epics in our hands.

So good to be a proud new RED owner. How damn exciting is it to know that teams of people are working to make
the camera you have already bought and paid for better and better??

if i may ,
Now maybe focus on red color 3 ... ""homework/result"" on color matrix is what actually have Red a bit behind Alexa , i am a colorist and every colorist i have ever talked with , think that alexa is easier to grade (better looking out of the box ...) i personally prefer Raw , but i do agree that some hues of color , especially color density of colors are better on the Alexa

1 question for Graeme/Jim : Film have an incredible richness in colors , like the blues of the water , the green of the grass etc... while (out of the box) any Red have this color washed out , settings like red color boost the saturation , but NOT the richness?density of those colors ... , so : you think that the richness density in color is influenced by the gamma curve , of is a color matrix thing that you guys have to figure ? (again , i am talking out of the box , selecting those Hues and make those richer in post is off course possible (but that is why the commune opinion that grade RED takes more time ...)
