Is it correct that the Epic doesn't read the lens data from MasterPrimes?

Correct. Arri LDS has never been supported by Red, unfortunately. They've said they would but it has never materialized. Could be due to politics or licensing...who knows?

The EPIC PL mount doesn't have the pin contacts for LDS. They have the I/data contacts for Cooke/Red lenses, but that hasn't been enabled yet.

A real bummer for me since I have Arri LDS Ultra Primes.

Alexa needs the Plus update to support LDS. (The update costs about the same as a Scarlet camera.)

The Sony F3 has LDS contacts, but I can't find any reference to the F65 having it.

Interesting - Scarlet reads the i/data from my RED lenses, and the DigiOptical zooms that seem to be identical to the original RED zooms.

Let's get Cooke's i/technology up and going first.... since the pins are already there. :P

sadly not supported...hoping one of the future builds will fix it

Why the LDS contacts were not included in a $2000 tiitanium PL mount for the bitchinist cinema camera on the planet is a complete mystery to me. I mean if Sony can build them into the Sony F3....
