  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Yesterday was a great day fedex arrived with my Scarlet and everything I ordered from red was in the box. I was so excited i didn't get any pictures of the unboxing but as soon as I get a chance I post a pic.

Awesome congrats! What was your SO# and when did you order?

Chris, if it's not too much asking, can you tell me about the "shipping / brokerage fee / customs" process you went through? Just want to have everything ready when mine ships in the Montreal area (soon-ish).

My SO #2391 and I ordered it on the 5th of Nov.

For Broker fees it is only GST that you need to pay on the total amount of your order. I filed out paper work with Fedex 2 pages of info and it cleared in seconds. The first item I ordered from red took 2 days to clear as I never have ordered from the US and customs never had my company name on file. I had a fedex broker contact me to tell me my shipment was at customs and they asked if I had a broker or needed one. They emailed my the paper work that was needed the process is very easy and everything fedex answered all the questions I had.

Most important is to have your Business Number as you need it for the paper work. Other then that they asked what the company does and if I will be importing for reselling purposes.
 
Sounds like a breeze! One last question : so the papers you filed were after the call you got from the fedex broker? Or had you downloaded them beforehand?
 
No the papers were emailed to me after I talked to the fedex broker I would say 30 seconds after I got of the phone with the broker h emailed the paper work.

ARG! I was SO #993 (more than 1000 before u), and I still haven't gotten mine =( Ordered Nov. 3 too.....sigh........
 
Sorry Desy all I can say is you will love it. I ordered the TI PL mount as I have a bunch of red and other PL mount lenses already.
