For thoses of you who enjoy big waves, good surfers and Slow motion!
It was a great oportunity for us to test the Epic on a real surf run and gun scenario, everything went on really well (exept for the gate flare, hopefully it will soon be fixed by red), otherwise what a treat to be able to shoot 5K 96fps or 2K 250fps on the palm of your hand ! for action sport it's the absolute tool!

I guess you used some kind of protection for the epic !?

No HDR-X used, the native dynamic was more than enough and for action sport i'll use it only if really needed because of the FPS cost.

As for protection we are using a custom light surf housing, but i'll post more on that next week with some good water shots!

Thanks Jon! we enjoy a lot making thoses films, lot of beautifull places and great people involved.

Wasn't R3ddata manager flare guard not recomended by red because of the material and the risk of getting fiber underneath the olpf? i was kind of waiting on the official fix because of that.

Not sure if it's a waranty voider or just a recomendation from red but better safe than sorry
