  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

The List - Please maintain

I am picking up my Scarlet today. And will have the LCD next week.
Picked up my Scarlet on Friday. Pls. update SO: 1312.

I think its possible that if you paid in full and or have the balance in your RED account that they might try to get those people allocated first. I'm just thinking that because I know I've heard about a lot of people placing deposits then seeing if they can scrape up the rest within the next few months. So people who are waiting and feel that they should have got allocation by now, do you at least have the balance in your account?

This sounds logical in order to keep camera moving out the door. Especially back from holiday, they will want to allocate camera (not all) that have no potential hitches to get everything moving again. If it was the case, I suspect it everything will be back to normal today.

It will be interesting to see if they get those allocations out the door today, so they can ship over the week-end.
 
lets see how many Scarlets get allocated today. I have a feeling next week is going to be a big week for everyone who ordered in the first hour.

really curious as to where we'll be by the end of today, this week was also a day shy.

Yes, the money is in my account. I just found out who my rep is, so I sent out an e-mail.
 
You know guys you should not really pay attention to this list. It is a great list anyway as it helps a lot to see how the things are moving... but it is not really 200% proof...
For instance, I'm 997; as I'm in Europe I'm still waiting to receive something as everything have to be passed to RED UK. Secondly, SO 1612 and SO 1626 (from Europe, delivered by RED UK) have already received their cameras with almost everything where I still have to wait to be delivered... how you could explain that ? There is no clear list here ...

So what I mean is, I'm not here to complain but I just want to warn you about this list. It could get your nerves die if you think that you might be the next... I concluded that they have their own management methods and their own allocation designations. They are following the lines but it seems that we don't have all the infos in our hands...

But I'm really happy to see that finally things are moving in Europe...

Maybe they have connections at Red?

Correct. Please note that the list is as accurate at deciphering when your number is up, as a Magic 8 Ball.

Only to be used in moderation to see the flow of RED, and help pass the time so you don't completely loose it.

There are quite a few of us with earlier SO #s that are still waiting, so don't panic & remain calm :)

Nice Chris! I was hoping for mine today as well as my Tokina comes in on Monday. Might have to wait til tuesday or wednesday which is still fine :) Have fun on monday!

When did you get your allocation email?

So the Scarlet universe is about 600 total cameras on order and about 50 delivered? That seems too low - am I missing something?

I was at the event, the full balance has been in my account since the start of December, I got the allocation email on Dec 21, but I'm still waiting to hear when I can go pick it up from Irvine. Maybe there's a method to their madness, but there's certainly madness in their methods!

Will be posting videos on my Utahcamerarentals.com youtube channel, as well as r3d and mp4 files from Scarlet Canon & PL lenses, 7D and 5D MK2 all shooting the same things -somewhere.
Hopefully meeting up with anyone RED up at Sundance after that.
