  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

This is probably the wrong department to put this question in, but here goes.

I'm using a 35mm SLR zoom lens on our Red-One, and it works great, but I have to hand zoom it. I want to be able to work the zoom via a DC motor & controller with the zoom buttons/lever on the tripod handle.

Do any of you use, or know of a generic-type system that I could attach to the lens so the zoom will function in that way?

I know there are DSLR zoom controls out there that use knobs positioned at the side of the lens, but those also need to be zoomed by hand. I want to do this electronically via a DC motor and controller.

If you know of a system like this, and where I can get it, please let me know. I would be most thankful.

Thanks.

MicroForce Zoom, Preston Fiz, Varizoon... try a google search of these.
