  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

First footage with my EPIC-X of the world's tallest redwood trees!

Beautiful images, Patrick. Are you planning on uploading a higher res version, maybe a 4K version to YouTube?

hi patrick!

beautiful images. you write at the vimeo description you shot that at 5kff. you shot that with 12pfs ? so you had to move the camera very, very fast :-)
which dolly / slider did you use for your camera movements ?

Hey Norbert, maybe you forgot a 0 when you said 12fps, or maybe you are thinking it was with a Scarlet at 5k 12fps.

But if you are thinking it was the Scarlet at 5k, it was actually his Epic-X at 5k which can do 1-120fps in 5k vs Scarlet only being able to do 12fps.

I think I confused myself with my own post... :-\

But! Beautiful stuff man! Very gorgeous!

Inspiring.

Having stood at the base of those trees I can only be reminded that those trees take care of all of us.

Really lovely.

Most impressive! I shoot with the Canon 5D...but I have Epic respect for RED. BTW, I switched from Avid to Premiere years ago and still using it in CS5. Nice to see Premiere getting some love & respect.

Simply gorgeous Patrick!!!

We are going to be filming in this area next month and I really would like to get some shots vertical shots with one of our remotely piloted helicopters. Sadly I don't think our Scarlet will arrive by then so I may have to default to the 5DM2. Do you think I would need a permit to film there?

Such a beautiful place on earth and some nice shots. You have talent, keep up the good work.

The epic looks awesome btw too. Got a nice overcast day for the woods shoot? Would like to see what you can do in those woods on a bright sunny day.

P.S. If you need some trolls for your next forest shoot, I've seen some popping up around these forums lately. REDUSER Trolls, gotta love em!
