Anyone using the Nikon 14-24mm Zoom with the EPIC? I've been looking at it but haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Just curious how current users like it.

I would have it inside either a Arri MB-20 II or an O'connor O'box. Any issues with vignetting? SOunds like it's a razor sharp lens and hopefully covering all of the 5K image.

The Ruby is a nice, but at $12,500 I think I'll go with the Nikon. I already have the Optitek Nikon mount for Epic and a Bartech that allows me to switch direction of the focus for an AC so the 2 grand or less seems like a great deal for a lens this wide and sharp.

Just bought a used one in mint condition inside and out for $1620. I'll let you know what I think after I have some time with it. Thanks for the feedback!

Nikon 14-24mm Zoom is far better optically lens than Tokina 11-16mm especially with sun flares (Tokina 11-16 has one of the ugliest aspherical element flares from all lenses I saw,...).

Although it's a smaller and lighter lens also can have a screw on filters,...

Just so I'm not missing out on something here, how exactly are you guys controlling aperture on these (non-manual iris ring) lenses?

I have the Optitek Nikon mount.

14-24 is a full frame lens so not only covers the epic 5K but will cover the FF35 (24x36mm) sensor epic when it comes out.

Optitek Nikon mount works with any Nikon lens, nice iris gear works with the non-iris Nikons just fine. Can't say enough good things about the Optitek mount.
