Scarlet Footage - DaVinci Resolve Color Example

I uploaded a shot of Tonaci's footage from his Scarlet after I ran it through DaVinci and one Reduser asked if I could put a video together on how I graded the footage.

Well here is the video explaining each of the different nodes in the sequence and what parameters I adjusted.

I'm not an expert but I've gotten so much from this forum I thought maybe this could help others out there looking to get started with Resolve.

If you guys have any questions on the grade or Resolve in general just let me know and I will try and answer them the best I can.

Thanks for the visual Patrick. Is there and advantage to using the outside node as opposed to the inside/out button (On Tangent Wave). I believe it essentially does the same thing. I'm guessing the outside node will give you more control later in case of revisions? It would be cool to have a Resolve Tips thread.

Jeff you are right. They are essentially the same thing. It is just a little shortcut that some people find helpful.

Others prefer a different workflow.

Good work Patrick. What bit depth did you grade at (haven't yet watched video, so sorry if you mention it), did you use ACES?

Hey if you decide to do another tutorial you should expand on some more tools to use.
