I have the outrigger handle and my scarlet and 5" touch LCD are on the way.

My question is, for those of you who use the outrigger handle and the LCD at the same time.

Do you have to have some longer bolts to go from the lcd to the camera, through the outrigger or does it just work?

Yes, but how long? Will 1" be long enough?

Based on my guesstimation (and the video below at the :48 sec. mark) , it seems right. It looks like 3/8" thickness for the LCD (which I don't have yet) + 3/8" for the Outrigger (which I do have) + 2/8" to screw into the Scarlet.

Yeah we'll see, I'll be getting both the LCD and my scarlet in the mail this week. I'm going to find out what size I need and I'll post here when I figure it out!

I made a plate out of brass, with four holes in it to mount the outrigger and the LCD - marked and drilled them out in the correct spacing, that was the most difficult bit.

I've attached a photo so you can see it. Pretty simple, no need for longer bolts this served me well till i milled something a little more permanent for the job when i got my VF top plate.

If mounting on a mantis, clutch or similar isn't the sweet spot for that camera as close to the shoulder or even on the shoulder as possible ?

Hence with the set up proposed on this thread, the mount will need some form of quick release , if using with a rig, otherwise the touch screen would sit about 2 inches away from the operators face. Correct?
