  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Scarlet-X # 65

Yeah, that's why I figured either a number of PL Mounts went out ahead of me, or a few people ordered quite a few Scarlets, b/c if the estimates have been right that most Scarlet orders started around the 850 #'s, I'd be a bit lower of a number than 65. Oh well though, still just totally stoked I've got one.
 
I'm worried that I may have screwed myself, having placed my accessory order 5 days later than my camera order. Sh*t...
 
Yeah, mine was about 3-4 hours after my Scarlet order, and while I received batteries/media/charger early, the LCD is listed as backordered still and the side handle is coming soon...most of the pieces should be there, I hope you can get your LCD in the same window as your camera. I'm just excited that I'll be able to film a bit back east now. North Carolina beaches are a pretty thing in the winter.

I'll be providing a link to download clips shortly, but as there is a 2 gig limit, I may only be able to do the equivalent of 1 or 2 short clips at a time. I may just switch them out from time to time, we'll see.

But the more people join, apparently I can increase the size. I'll try and always have at least a couple of clips available at a time for download, maybe I'll change out the links in the first post. We'll see shortly, just waiting for the first batch to upload so everyone can download and play around with them a bit.

Shot at 6:30am PST facing west, catching just a little bit of the early morning light. Shot on the Canon 50mm 1.4.

Again, a link to my dropbox account, the more people who use it to sign up, the more space I can put more .r3d files. I have enough room currently for one more clip, which will be uploading today and will probably be available for download sometime tonight.

P.S. Also on the shot, it was just a quick handheld without any handles, literally just testing the fact that it could record properly, which it did wonderfully. I need to invest in a nice tripod or some other handle while waiting for the side handle to come in. Batteries as well, as I won't be testing in the field until I can get it away from being wall powered.

I need to see and compare purpose, if the noise is ok i sell my FS100.

The next clip will be the same time, same amount of light, but a zoom lens so it will be slightly darker.

The next shots I'll post are from about an hour earlier, 5:30am, very dark. I'll get that up as soon as possible.
