  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Hi all

Was just wondering if anyone else from London and/or Home Counties had a Scarlet on order? Maybe we can get together for a beer and a test run when they arrive.

Looking forward to ours joining our Epic in the stable. We're as close to the front of the Canon mount queue as we could manage, but who knows when it'll be :) Drop me a line when yours arrives if you like.
 
very curious as well. Anyone renting it in London yet? I wouldn't mind testdriving it for a day.
 
Got one on order, but since I'm a way down the list I think you guys will be getting yours before me! Be very interested to know how it goes! I hired a RED One to shoot with a few weeks ago and can't wait to get going with RAW recording on my Scarlet :)

Ordered a Canon mount on the 3rd -- SO 0914 -- haven't heard anything yet!

Would def be up for splitting an SSD pack with some other London owners once the cameras arrive!

Not sure I'd be able to split a SSD pack (as I may need to purchase a single 256gb) but I'm up for maintaining an equipment list for independents in the London area for when projects come along that require more kit than we own. Also keen on meeting up with other Scarlet owners to work out how to get the best out of these cameras. I'm completely new to RED so I've got a lot to learn!

Yup, first for a bit re-engineering in New Mexico (special/unique s-3d applications), then sent to Oxford, London and Iver Heath/Pinewood.

A few months from now I would expect…

What are you fixin to do with Scarlet?
 
Sadly I haven't been able to order yet, looking likely for March. It'd be interesting to know at what point before then I could place my order considering the lead times.

Would certainly be interested in a meet or even a hire if any of you chaps are planning on renting out.

I'm hoping to get mine underwater as soon as I can but I also have an above water feature doc lined up which should start shooting late spring. In between that I'll be using it for Corporates and Events to help pay the bills!
 
Couldn't cope with the reality of the post I made earlier. I just placed my order!!! :-)
 
If you just placed your order Justin then I'd say that March would be a reasonable time frame for delivery (maybe a little longer?). Who knows, we're all just guessing right now....

...and congrats! :)
