Did a search, but couldn't find anything about how you all store your Canon lenses. Just picked up my prime and zoom sets and need to figure out how best to design the interior of a the Pelican cases, should I have the foam cut horizontal or vertical for storage and travel. Thinking of separating the primes from the zooms and build from there. Also, when not in use is it OK to store the lenses in the Pelican case or where better to house them? And do you all use dry pacs in the cases to absorb moisture? Would really appreciate some advice.

My Canon Package

Tokina 11-16mm f/2.8 Canon
Canon EF 24mm f/1.4L II USM Autofocus
Canon EF 35mm f/1.4L USM Autofocus
Canon EF 50mm f/1.2L USM Autofocus
Canon EF 85mm f/1.2L II USM Autofocus
Canon EF 135mm f/2.0L USM Autofocus
Canon EF 100mm f/2.8L Macro IS USM
Canon EF 28-300mm f/3.5-5.6L IS USM
Sigma 120-300mm f/2.8 EX DG OS APO HSM AF
Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L IS II USM Autofocus
Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L IS USM Autofocus
Canon EF 70-200mm f/2.8L IS II USM Autofocus
Canon 1.4x EF Extender III Teleconverter

I will be adding the new Canon 200-400mm w/ the 1.4X built in extender when it is released. Hopefully soon.

Thanks in advance for any assistance with these questions, really appreciate it.

Mine are sitting on a shelf in a closet. ;-) when I travel they go in a typical camera bag like a photographer would use. I never travel with all of them, usually select 4 or 5 depending on the needs of the shoot.

There is a thread on this in the LENS section... several I think over the years. Try search... or google search works too. will probably find the threads fastest

Nice set of lenses!

All my lenses always live in Pelican cases. Or in my camera storage room which is dehumidified.

Thanks guys for the info. My bad on the search, forgot the google option which works much better than the Red search. And thanks Tim B. - just picked up the Sigma 120-300 F/2.8 today and I can't wait to put that on my X for some wildlife shooting. Quite the impressive lens.

After reading the old threads, special thanks to Ketch on the old posts - great info there to learn, I decided to work with InnerSpace for some custom cut foam in Pelican cases. Really appreciate all the help on this.

The pelican 1510 is the perfect case for that. It has a bunch of different compartments for lenses and it's mobile with wheels and a handle!
