I've found some info on this, but not everything I need. I need to import an RMD file from Redcine X to the EPIC. I made the presets folder in the SSD. And I did do something that allowed the EPIC to "see" the file, but I am not sure I'm doing this correctly. Epic loaded the file, but then asked for confirmation, and said there was an error importing it.

Can someone give me a step by step of how they export their RMD file from REDCineX and how they get it into the EPIC so I can compare their procedure with ours and find out what we're doing wrong.

thanks in advance!

PS yes I read the manual, but it didn't help.

Can you give more detail on how how tried importing the RMD? It sounds like you renamed the file to something.preset and then tried to treat it as a camera preset file (which is different than an RMD preset file from redcine).

On the preset import/export dialog you need to use the "RMD Preset" section not the "Disk Presets" section.

Also, what firmware version are you running?

Heh heh.. You are 100% right. That's what I did.. I could not find the RMD section you are looking for.. Can you or someone please give me more info on WHERE the RMD Presets section is?
Also I am using the latest firmware Jarred just releassed.\\Jay

Ok a little more information: I DID copy the RMD file that REDCine X created next to the R3D file over to the SSD. I put it in the root directory and in the presets directory. But sadly the camera did not see it in either one.

So what am I doing wrong?

I'd love to Dave.. But it started to see the files, just that simple.. I went back to try to recreate the problem, but no luck.. I will say be sure to eject the SSD properly and that helps. Aside from that I am having a hard time knowing what when wrong. I will be doing a Video Tutorial on this for sure

Tutorial would be cool! Thanks in advance-

I have been attempting to import an RMD look into my Epic tonight with no success. I was able to get the RMD file to show up in the RMD Preset Import menu on the camera, but when I hit APPLY, nothing happened.
I have another question. What is the difference between the RMD file and the RLK file created when you use the drop down menu command "Save Current Look to Camera"? Is there a way to apply the RLK look to the camera directly?
