What Computer System for 4K Files?

I'm looking at updating my PC, I wanted to know if anyone has edited 4K files on a Premiere PC without the RED rocket card? Do the GPU based NVIDIA cards such as the Quadro 4000 plus, work in real time, or just as well as the RR?. Otherwise the Redrocket seems pricey and out of my budget after investing in Scarlet.
I know they work well with native HDSLR files. Any suggestions greatly welcome. Also if you have a PC, what components are you using if you can work nativity with RED 4K files?

First off, welcome to RedUser! Yes, many people have been editing on Win7 with Premier Pro CS5.5 without a RedRocket and have posted in the 'RED Workflow' > 'Adobe Workflow' section, which is where this question should go. I suggest however, that you only create a new thread after you have checked out the other threads there to see if what you want to know has already been answered by another.
