What's your budget? Web designers take on projects based on what budget the client has. Recommending someone without knowing what your budget is would be incorrect.

Details such as how many pages do you want in the site, how much and what sort of media you want in the site (photos, videos, audio, etc.), whether you want a Flash (note recommended) or purely HTML site and whether it's a personal or business site, etc.

Also, are you looking for a freelance web designer or a design studio?

A lot of questions, I know. But these are things that any designer will ask you. So, it's best you think about it know.
