I am looking to build a small network of experienced DIT's that I can recommend to rental clients. Does anyone have suggestions or resources that you know I could use to get in contact with some to get their permission to list them on my rental site?

Also does anyone know some cost effective solutions for Red Rocket transcoding services in LA that I could also recommend to clients?

Peter, I think it's great you're doing this and thank you!

I'm an SF and LA local who can work as a Camera Technician, RED Technician, DIT, or Assistant Editor.
I'm capable off on and off-set Transcoding, creating and coloring Digital Dailies, HD Capture and Playback, Media Management for Single or Multicam, and I can double as an AC.
I'm experienced with RED, Alexa, XDCam, P2, AVCHD, 5D/7D cameras and workflows, and I have experience in 3D.

I have the experience and know-how to use larger systems and RED Rockets, but can't afford them yet. For now I either get rented out with them or I've got my small cart with a MacBook Pro, bunch of readers, and a great power supply back-up.

I'm great for smaller run-n-gun projects where mobility is key, but have also done higher-end projects and entire features when rented the right equipment.

I'm easy to reach anytime by email, phone or text.

I can recommend Von Thomas. He's here on the boards.

:))

Thank you Steve for the vote of confidence.

As Steve mentioned, I'm a REDucation instructor, and also have my own branded RED DIT workshop. Skilled in 35 years of still photography, and 14 years of digital capture. I transcode with vigor. For on or off set, and my color, well let's just say "great" would typify my work. Plus I use Eizo 232W monitor, killa.

I also provide H.264 deliverable service for web.
