SpaceCam is happy to announce that Leica has approved the SpaceCam Leica M mount. SpaceCam is also introducing a derivative design incorporated into the same mount that will allow mounting of a new line of specially prepared short focal length lenses, the first of which is the Voigtlander 12mm f5.6 ultra wide Heliar. There are many more lenses planned for the LM-ARC mount. The LM-ARC mount derivative increases rotational rigidity and ensures exact coincidence of optical centering. The SpaceCam Leica M, LM-ARC mount will be the only mount able to mount both types of lenses.

:yesnod: I like your approach...

It's got us thinking now...

Awesome news! Very excited to see which shorter focal length lenses get the treatment!
To date Steven we have modified the Voigt 12mm, 15mm, 21mm and 25mm. The 28mm F2 Ultron and the 35mm f1.2 Nokton will follow shortly. We have also done a number on the Pelang 8mm...an awesome spherical fish by design a series of special barrel filter inserts up to a ND2.3 and adding a secondary focus stage to allow focus almost to the front surface of the lens.

Hi Ron,

Is there an estimated time frame for the 28/35 or potential for pre-order? Also would they had additionally larger focus rings added for use with follow focus systems by chance?

Yes they are available for pre order and we have just set pricing today following an order for an entire set. We will be posting details and prices on our "store" at www.spacecam.com within 30 minutes from now.
As to the focus rings, we can certainly accomodate you on that as well.
Cheers, R.

Great news.

But, Has Sanjin approved it......

Hi Ron,

Awesome! I was wondering if the lenses are also cine-converted already? The iris declicked and all? Since these are modified for the mount figured all that stuff would've also been done in the process,

Looking forward to the 35mm :D

Thanks again,

The Leica M to R adaptor would be relatively easy. We just have to find the time.
The Voigt 35mm f1.2 has been compared to the Leica Summilux 1.4 and has performed very well indeed. In tests, the Voigt sharpens up very quickly when stopped down to 1.4. Voigt is very high on the lens just now and they are difficult to find. We have some stock though.
