Hey guys, I wanted to know what you recommend for lens support on the 70-200 for both 15 and 19mm setups. Any insight would be great! BTW, I'm looking for lens support for my Epic when my canon mount arrives.

Hello Kyle,

I use a simple and low cost solution provided by ALL STAR CINE.

http://allstar-cine.myweb.hinet.net/html/red_accessories/red_accessories.html

Click on "ALL STAR SHOULDER SYSTEM" and scroll down to LENS SUPPORT SCREWS at the very bottom.

I've used this for a few years specifically with the 70-200 running on a RED ONE with BIRGER MOUNT
and it has worked quite well. Easy on the pocket too.

I will say though Dave's suggestions are about as solid as you can get.

Allstars kit is good, highly recomended. We use the mount system on all our cameras.

The intermediate mount is fitted on to the lens mount be it Nikon F or Leica. The intermediate mount is unscrewed so its tight on the lens, its fits like a normal stills Camera mount, then a small grub screw is tightened to retain the adaptor.
