Looks as good if not close to FS100 footage I have seen on the net with same content, some of you will disagree but it's true internet makes footage look like crap from it original state, wish I could see it in 4K great work Tonaci Tran looks pimp non the less sir! :badputer:

Ummm...I don't want to sound biased...but I don't think that looks at all like FS100 or AF100 footage (and I own/love my AF100). Check out this video of a similar subject and make a comparison. ***obviously not a scientific test here***

Not far off from what we can see so for being Sony it looks better than we thought not bad if ur on a budget, if you are on a tight budget go Sony Fs100, but RED is awesome for the big Screen Great footage thanks for sharing Scarlet has arrived!!!!

these tests and comparisons are useless. vimeo size and compression. on vimeo you can have beautiful flowers from a lot of cameras with good settings. even cheap ones. but you can't push the looks in post like you can with scarlet. as good as the fs100 can be it's not a raw camera. no possible comparison.

True but if ur broke Sony might be a good alternative just saying =)

Both the FS100 and AF100 are great tools, we are going to keep our AF100 after we receive our Scarlet because in a lot of cases the scarlet simply isn't the best tool for the job. The same can be said for the AF100 in many cases. We recently shot a high stress/speed two day shoot for an espn documentary with the AF100, I would not attempt that with a RED, at least not with the setup we plan to have out of the gate.

***We will be doing some extensive Scarlet VS AF100 tests when our camera arrives, and more than likely we will be posting those results.

all we where saying if you cant afford a Scarlet a Sony might be a good option, one simple comment, no need to make a big deal out of it.. it still had to do with a Scarlet comment, still talking RED just inserted a another cam cam for a second geesh
Isn't there a Sony forum where you could post this instead of here?

Guys, don't take EVERY response or dissenting opinion as a personal attack, and then accuse others of doing it.
Keep in mind here that a lot of the people on the forum here are working filmmakers. It really is a privelage to get to converse with them and learn from them.
In response to the Sony thing, I use them for a church website. Great cameras for that. Great cameras for a lot of things.
Am I going to buy one and TRY TO COMPETE against 100 Scarlet owners for paying customers? Not even.

Understandable but in discussions, other things statements and points may come up that can be RED related and words and sentences that are small insignificant statements such as how does a RED camera compare to this or that, it's still a RED question and topic, can't we even say the word Sony for a second sorry geesh
My point is, this is Reduser. Let's stay focused on using Red cameras and sharing our experiences with these cameras.

I'm sorry if I'm mistaken, but didn't you guys make a big announcement that you were leaving Reduser just yesterday?

are you trying to pick an argument???

GUYS AND GIRLS. If you take everything as an argument waiting to happen, then it will be an argument. Not everyone is attacking you.

This is a RED forum, for RED cameras, threads about others are deleted all the time, its better to talk about just red.

My recommendation: click on the name of the person you want to ignore. It'll bring up their profile, and you have an option there to ignore all posts from that user. Use this tool instead of responding. I did!
