Greetings everyone,

Since all eyes are locked on the release of Scarlet-X, it saddens me to have come across a prototype of the upcoming Scarlet-T on my trip to Russia (found it in my hotel room!). I haven't had too much hands-on time with this baby but this is what I know so far:

PROS
- A sleek aluminium (or titanium even?) bodyform
- Variable frame rates, all under a single button - seems to be 0, 1 & 2 (I´m guessing final rates are yet to be determined)
- For those who have pondered about the best way of powering an epic or scarlet-x, the T has a built in 1,5m AC cord!

CONS
- Tends to overheat quite a bit
- The fan noise is for some applications intolerable

Will let you all know further impressions if I have time to play around with the Scarlet-T. In the meanwhile grats to all you Scarlet-X owners out there. And for us upcoming ones... the wait might feel long. But it will be so worth it!

Has the uncanny power to make the models hair move as soon as she's in frame ... priceless

Optional firewood module will be available, and it would come with a free long mono-stick - to chase away the bears.
The "hybrid" battery powered option was deemed too exotic and burdened with heavy import taxes.

Gotta love the anticipation insanity :)
Thanks for starting this thread, Paul - made my day

I think all pricing and release dates are TBA. It is still in proto phase. That Elite version sounds like a sweet deal though! The mount on this proto is something I've never seen before. It has this metallic net-type grill as the locking mechanism. I'm thinkin proprietary Scarlet-T lenses to start a new standard and get rid of the out-dated PL and DSLR counterparts. The grillmechanism is giving me gray hair though. Won't it show in the picture?

(and Alex, my pleasure. Seems all the anticpation brings unwanted tension in many. Got to ease up, lay back and take it easy every now and again :) )
