  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Oh i'm not mad. It's just misleading in title and to have 2-3 threads going with the same thing was something mentioned in a previous thread by a moderator and trying to keep that down as this is a place to get information. I'm as excited as you are but multiple posts on the same manner is a bit redundant. I've done it before too. Perhaps mod's could merge a couple of them together to put it all in one place?
 
Let's all get along guys no need to get upset, i'm sure Brian just wanted to start his own thread with a different point or maybe he just forgot about the other thread, could happen to anyone. Luv one an other we are all part of the same RED family =)

But let's face it : most of Scarlet-X users won't do nothing for the silver screen with it. This is a (rich) prosumer-hobbyists-wedding photographs Scarlet-X board here.

We'll have few test videos on Vimeo and almost nothing on big screens. Let's see in one year... ;)
 
We see ur point, but we are sure that someone that buys a Scarlet will do something for the Silver screen, we hate to argue but we do believe there is some serious big time players in here picking up the RED Scarlet X for not only paid work but i'm sure they are more than just hobbyist , sorry to disagree, but we are planning to devote an entire Career around this Camera.. Please don't take offense just our own opinion =)

I think thats a pretty ignorant statement to make.

Terry is a very nice guy. Always seems to have some information, or always asks the right questions.

I think many of us, who have been on RedUser for awhile are just somewhat bothered with all of the threads being popped up randomly for no reason.

So many people come on this site for information and only have limited time like Jeffrey Loewe pointed out.

Search bar it first, if nothing comes up, then google it, if nothing comes up, google some more, then post on RedUser.

All of these threads containing polls and silly information can be fun sometimes, but lets remember, this is a professional website for information on professional tools.

Let's try to act like it fellas.
 
He may seem nice to you and that is your opinion and probably others, but I see something different so it's not an ignorant statement, not everyone will like everyone its what I have noticed these past months in his statements to some ppl. I wouldn't of said it otherwise, sorry but not everybody likes me and there are ppl who do like me on here I just don't like Terry's approach to certain things sometimes your entitled to your opinion and I am to mine.

+1 on that - Terry is a decent guy who (to my knowledge) isnt here to stir anything of any sort and makes some valuble contributions to the community
