I downloaded the most recent REDCINE-X_build_501_win64 and imported some r3d footage.
As soon as i touch a imported file the whole application crashes.

I testet the application on another two win7/64Bit machines (each 16GB Ram) but i've got the same problem there.

32 Bit is running fine, but the 64Bit does not work at all.

The new version does not crash anymore. Thx.
But i still try to find a way to convert files into a format that is importable by Win7 64Bit Premiere Pro Cs5 and also includes audio.
The only option is to export single frames which is not really what i'm looking for.

It seems there is currently no way to do this on a Win system, even there is a Quicktime export option in RedCine X that does not do anything.. This could be a Scarlet killer in our current camera evaluation.
I don't mind updating to win CS5.5. But even there seems to be no possible workflow with audio yet.

Hi Mathias,

Have you tried the last Pro build? Do you have Quicktime installed? Also, Prores codecs are only available on Mac.

David

I do have the last build.
I only have the standard Quicktime but no Quicktime Pro version. But as i'm able to export Quicktimes from Premiere Pro this should also be possible from RedCine X. But as of now the Quicktime Export does not even start to write a file for me.
My guess would be its not fully integrated in Win yet as there are some FCP options to configure.

Sent a mail to the redcine x crew

I have reinstalled Quicktime.
Now it looks like it will start a job, but fails on it.
Its also interesting that in the log a 32bit version of RedCine X is mentioned even i use the 64 Bit version.

Code:
redexport Build 506 Windows 32bit Public Release
Avail Cam: 0x00000000 Avail Ext: 0x00000000 Requested Cam: 0x0000000F Requested Ext: 0x000000FF Final Cam: 0x00000000 Final Ext: 0x00000000 mTotalAudioChannels: 0
Quicktime Output Filename: F:/Video/test/raw/Audi R8/A033_C004_010836.mov, Codec: 0
OpenADefaultComponent failed (-2003)

createCompressionSession failed (-2003)

redexport: Internal Error

Error -2003 is "can't find handler". Which codec are you trying to export to?

Thx Rob

Got it worked out with David.
After opening and closing the video settings again the export worked.
Prior that the plugin did not write any settings in the xml.

Now i just need some Epic/Scarlet r3d file which includes audio to do some tests.
Would be cool if someone could share such a file.

Rob/Red Team,

I'm having trouble installing the newest version of Redcine-X Build 506. Upon unzipping all folders successfully and attempting to launch REDCINE-X.exe, I receive an error message (see photo). Running Windows 7 Pro 3.2 proc. 64-bit.

Build 501 launches properly (and has all the previous bugs). Another thing I noticed is that the build 506 folder color is green, unlike the rest.

Please advise. Thank you.

Green means it a encrypted folder. How did you unpack the zip?
I've used WinRar which works great as always.

Somehow your RCX folder is encrypted.. To unencrypt it right click on it choose properties then general then click advanced then clear the "Encrypt Contents to secure data" checkbox and click ok.

Also:
We've found the issue with the Windows 64bit build of 506 not including the MSVCP100.dll.

The file MSVCP100.dll is available in the install of RCX Pro Windows 64bit and will work if placed within the same folder as the REDCINE-X.exe file for the 506 build.

Thanks Matthew.

It's definitely encrypted. And the dll file is missing. I'll try what you stated when I get to that station tonight. What the RCX Pro install? Is that different than the 506 build download?

Matt,

Installed RCX Pro beta and looked in all the folders for the MSVCP100.dll file... but no luck. There isn't one. However, I attempted re-launching 506 build again and walla -- it somehow worked!!! Good to go.

Thanks for your help.
