Verizon - Add A Line - Shot on EPIC #204 - HDRx and VFX

I directed and DP'ed this a few weeks ago. Shot on EPIC-X #204, HDRx on some shots, some great screen replacements, quick two week turnaround. Thanks goes out to my cast and crew.

Thanks, Brian. One of the things that was interesting about this shoot was we didn't have the time to properly CC all the footage. What you see is through FCP 3-way color corrector. They usually send all the footage to a colorist with a Resolve system, but time crept up on us very fast.

Justin, can you share an advice on how to work properly with all the screens on set?

I do realize that all the screens on phones and TVs are green screen, but are there any specific things to consider when working with them and when your end goal is to create phone/TV image like that?

You need to flag off any glares on the screen. A polarizer would work on some shots, but depending on the angle the subject is facing, it's hard to fight all glares off with a polarizer. My gaffer and grip did a great job flagging off light sources so we can have the best conditions for motion tracking, keying and comping the screens.
