Hi
Can anyone advise the cheapest and lightest way to mount 19mm bars on the top of Epic-x?
Thanks
Nigel

No, I can wait.
Can you send me a PM when you have details Jason?

[EDIT= Never mind, I didn't see the difference between Wooden Top mount, and ultimate top mount]
[EDIT 2= I don't like the top rod riser anyway]

Hi

I'm looking for simple, lightweight and smallest possible 19mm top mount for Epic.
Hole on 3 sides to mount accessories like EVF mount, nogas, and 19mm rod mount.

That's all i need, no top plate riser (wooden), no nato rails (red).
i want to mount a closed handle, tighten it, and leave it on it for the centuries to come.

I'm looking for a closed handle too. Something future proof that can attach to the module adaptor for exemple.

anyone knows ?

Upside Down 15mm Studio bracket from Woodencamera with countersunk holes.

Same principle would work for 19mm.

You need to drill it out.

I would recommend taking it to a machinist and having them do it for you. Show them what you are trying to accomplish.

I don't recommend doing this if you don't have basic metalworking skills or know what Countersinking means. No offense. It will definitely void the warranty of the part you are drilling out.

Berenger - I took a wooden "easy" 15mm studio flipped it upside down and countersunk it by boring out two holes.

It works great.

I did the same thing with one of the two 19mm universal mounts that come with the DSMC base plate system. I also sawed a NATO rail in half and bolted it to the top so I can mount my sliding top handle. There are a couple of pictures on my website here: http://juliomquintana.com/Red Epic Package.html

How do you rig you vmount battery? I am hoping to use the cradle from my red one, (minus the drive) I machined the the plate the replaces where the drive cradle goes.

I think Mounting my v mounts up top on the rails will still leave room for the red mote. Thoughts?
