I‘ve just uploaded the first time a few seconds QuickTime 4K 2:1 ProRes Version on YouTube. Want to see how that works and if it looks better on the Web than an uploaded 1080p Version. This was shot on EPIC-X with Canon Mount and EF 85mm L II 1.2.:

Edit: Uploaded long version 4K 2:1 ProRes222 LT

Edit 2 (11/14/2011): Another test, uploaded new video 4K 2:1 ProRes222 LT including slomo, 70-200 L 2.8 II IS at 150-200mm, 72 fps

Here is some more but uploaded in standard 1080p H.264 from FCP X shot with Canon Mount and „L“ Series Lenses:

cool! original looks way sharper indeed, great that youtube has this option :)

I agree. Even if their is extra compression coming from YouTube, footage set at "original" is at worst 2K which is still amazing for the web (or most movie theaters for that matter).

Nice test Claus.

Go Red, or Go Home.

Replied on youtube, but figured I"d say so here too. This looks excellent! I was surprised to see how much better the original setting was than 1080p
