  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

REDuser is not Facebook!

The problem is to many people start new threads with questions already asked, or really simple to search an answer for, certainly with al the scarlet questions now... search, read, think first before asking everything...

Actually, I think the problem is that there are some posters who think that questions like "If your Scarlet were a pizza, what kind of pizza would it be?" are valuable contributions to the forum. :crying:

You all joke about the "Like" feature. That would be real freakin helpful in bubbling the worthy threads to the top. As for doing searches: REDuser search algo is like Yahoo - real simple man. We need some of that Google juice to power the searches or a mo bettah Sticky system to catalog the many valuable threads that come and go.

BTW: if my Epic were a pizza, it would be a Thin Crust Garlic Shrimp Pesto slightly overcooked served with a Stone IPA

Ummmm, Josh, did it occur the OP might be talking about those like you and you're 15 posts per day? :P

Never crossed my mind. Is there a limit to amazing posts like mine?

Apparently not! Rock on brother, I enjoyed about 40% of them ... if you were a baseball player, you'd be Ted Williams :)

If I were a baseball player then I would be batting .400 and be the star of your Fantasy Team.

And that makes 638 posts!!

My EPIC would be a "supreme", while the Scarlet would be "Pepperoni".

The fact that I put 45 seconds into creating this post would make me a "Cheese".

Just think, one year from now .... Josh Beadle - fastest Reduser ever to reach 5,000 posts. Will you throw a party? Mommy and Daddy will be so proud!

They already are very proud my friend. I acomplished so much in such a short time allowing me to sell my business and retire at age 50 to pursue my first love - photography and film. I did this through a process of complete and intense immersion into whatever subject matter was at hand. I always sought out the pinnacle of wisdom and, when in their company, have a skill for asking penetrating questions, listening and learning. I learn from both negative, sarcastic sources as well as positive, sincere. Makes no difference to me which side you come from - if you have valuable wisdom to share I will listen . . . even if you're being a dick in the delivery. So, my brother Anthony, what can you share with me as a new Epic owner and REDuser that would help me in my personal journey and provide timeless insights for others?

You're right, my sarcasm/criticism are not constructive -- though, it's strange you take the high road now after (literally) 100-200+ weird or insulting or irrelevant posts. (See insulting Steve Jobs or Texans, for reference.) Some really great ones too, sincerely ... and certainly I'm not the be all, end all judge.

Genuinely glad you got your Epic, and have been successful -- I'm still waiting for Stage 3 myself.

My only advice is actually/ironically contained in the original post - Reduser is not Facebook or Twitter. Not every post needs great meaning or info, but chilling out and focusing better quality posting versus whatever instantly comes to mind, might be a good start.

Again, I'm not the judge but I'm sure if you surveyed 100 or so Redusers, 80-90 would agree with me.

That's all man, no hard feelings or bad blood, I really wish you the best with your Epic.
