Hey Guys,

Anyone using the DP4 / EVF loupe with the Epic?... Or with anything else for that matter? Looking for something to keep me going until there's some solid news on firmware upgrades for the original R1 EVF.

Thanks

I've used the DP4, I think it has only HDMI input ... so its not an option right now for Epic users.

I haven't used the EVF loupe kit, but it seems solid. As a "straight" LCD I prefer the DP6, and I really like the HD-SDI option on the DP6 (which would make the DP4 usable with Epic today)

I have the DP4 with the EVF loupe and it's been a good monitor for my GH2. I use it with R1 sometimes as well. But on the Epic we haven't been able to test due to HDMI not yet enabled. For the money, hard to beat. I'm still trying to determine color accuracy of this little guy, but I mostly use it for framing and focus anyway.

I built a loupe and I won't leave home with out it. Only way to fly in bright exterior light. Use Velcro at the top and it acts like a hinge so you can still operate the touch screen in direct sunlight. The loupe is a hoodman modified to work with the templates I'm attaching.

Yes i believe the HDMI is enable in the new beta and should work with DP4, freeing up the only HD-SDI port in EPIC

Would be great if smallhd or zacuto or someone would make a solution like this, a loupe special for the 5" screen :)

It works with the Zacuto EVF.
