The grade is just a quick temp, we're going to re-do it after Jim releases Alchemy and do more careful work with the secondaries.

I was constrained to 6min for the contest, so things are rather quick on the narrative. And yes, it's intentionally left extremely open ended in case I want to keep going.

Ryan E. Walters (the DP) and I had fun with this. Shot on my Epic with my RPPs. We used glass filtration on almost every shot: Tobacco 1 for the majority of the interiors, then also some Classic Soft for a few shots. For the last shot of the short we triple stacked: Tobacco 1, Coral 4 and Pro Mist 1/2 :-)

Nice work, Shawn. If you have time, it would be worth working a little bit more on the grade, some shots (interiors don't intercut very well, the gamma seems a little bit off sometimes ; blacks could be crushed a little bit more on some shots I think)

Cheers,

Kristin

Thanks guys!

Funny, 186 views and 2 comments. Ah Reduser. I'm not just fishing for compliments here, critique of story or cinematography or anything is also welcome.

Kristin, as I said in post 1, we're going to re-grade it.

Good acting, cool script concept, smooth cine work, agree with Kristin on the grade . . . but you knew that.

Cheers!
