Hi all,

Just got the Epic, and before things get crazy I want to add some supplemental protection for the screen on my 5" touchscreen as well as the PIX240. My 7" Pro LCD got thrown into the mix without said protection and it's in pretty sad shape now, so I'd like to prevent that from happening again.

Anyone putting something extra on their 5" RP touchscreen? My only real concern is touch sensitivity, but I figured if people can use iphones with screen protectors, surely there's a way for this to work too. The PIX doesn't need to worry about touchscreen sensitivity, but I'd like it to be an anti-glare option (as opposed to some hard plastic solution).

Any thoughts?

nobody likes their screens scratch and rub-free?

heading to B&H now to look into solutions, will report back if i find anything.

in the meantime, if anyone has any solutions they find work well, feel free to let the community know! you can also send me an email: clintlitton AT gmail DOT com

cheers!

I had some extra Zagg protection that I custom cut to fit the 5" touchscreen. But I gave up after rental clients threw it away without asking on more than one occasion.. They probably thought the Zagg material was the reason they weren't getting good response from the touchscreen... :rolleyes5:

I like mine without (until I get a scratch) just never got a material that was thin/non reflective enough to prove worthy ofit living on the screen

How did it effect the look of the screen, did you get more reflections, or was it really invisible?

i use Zagg -- Invisible Shield for all my screens.

i buy a piece for an iPad and am able to cut two 5" LCD screens out of it plus a couple of REDMotes screens as well.
With the new build, the touchscreen is more responsive anyway and it's worth saving these screens from rental abuse.

the Zagg stuff is virtually indestructible -- try taking a pen across it and it won't scratch.

good luck -- it's worth a try anyway.

There is a company named Artwizz. they make protections for the iPad. The one for the FIRST iPad (not iPad2) works great. Its antireflective too.
