I understand many things can change on Nov. 3rd, but I wanted to see if I am just missing some vital information. I never saw a zoom rocker for the Scarlet and there is only one ring on the Scarlet F. So how can you zoom in/out and keep focus?

There is a rocker on the handgrip. But the pictures don´t indicate how smooth it is, or if it is a binary fake rocker.
You will definitely be able to zoom and change iris with the handgrip and focus on the lens + other combinations.

Since you know a bit about this subject...What is the deal with the concept art of the REDmote with FF on the back?

I think thats the RedMote Pro. Not sure if thats still on the drawing board.

I think the render he is talking about is the one with the redmote pro, which has a full follow focus wheel attached to it. It was announced a while ago and still in development(I hope... or I hope it's done) so who knows it could be part of the Nov 3rd announcements as well. It most definitely will not be included in the base package, though if it is available I wouldn't be surprised if you can substitute it in for a price.

edit: Tim beat me...

Yes, this is what I was referring too. I hope it is included in Nov. 3rd announcements. That way I can buy it all together rather than upgrading in the future.

I would expect to be upgrading as you go. Things will improve. RED has shown favor in upgrading equipment that people have held onto. Such as the Heatsinks on M's that are now on X's. There Modularity design and friendliness to the consumer is outstanding. I'm always upgrading my camera gear right now. I wish it was a company that cared rather than just looking for a quick buck. I'm pretty sure something similar happened with Version II of there 17-50 lens where those who owned the 1st series could send them in for upgrade?

Could be wrong. Just saying. Things change and always for the better.

There is a rocker on the handgrip.

there are plenty of buttons on the side handle, including canon-like multifunctional joystik kinda thing, and I'm guessing any adjustments including zoom can be done by navigating through all those buttons,
but I can't tell for sure, I don't have the camera yet, i got everything else I'll need but not the scarlet :(
but there is no rocker on the side handle, the focus ring on the lens can be switched to control iris and zoom also, and of course we'll have total camera control using redmote

In one of the NAB videos, Ted was showing the fixed lens Scarlet with the single ring being selectable (software setting) to control focus, iris or zoom. He also mentioned that the rocker on the handle could be used for this purpose.

My guess is that the electronic lens opens the door for the use of the RedMote Pro and the follow focus features it may have.

MAY have follow focus features? As far as I know, the only distinguishing feature so far mentioned between the RedMote and RedMote Pro is the addition of a follow-focus dial, so if there isn't a follow-focus dial on the RedMote Pro, then why have a RedMote Pro in the first place?

I'm just saying that the electronic lens may open the door for follow focus within the camera itself (IE: not needing an external motor).

That's what I'm trying to tell you. The rationale for a RedMote Pro from the very beginning was to enable follow-focus functionality within the camera-lens combo itself, in conjunction with electronic lenses, ie. Canon, Nikon and Red.

In fact, this was the main reason I began updating my Nikkor AF-D lenses (dependent on a focus motor within the camera) to AF-S lenses (dependent on a focus motor within the lens) years ago, when RED established early on that in-lens motors would be required for Epic-RedMote Pro electronic lens functionality.

Over this period of time, Jarred responded three or four times to requests for clarification that this functionality was still on the roadmap. Each time, he responded that it was. It was not until this summer/fall, after the RedMote Pro had gone unmentioned by RED for months, that Jarred announced that the RedMote Pro had gone back into re-development. This could be interpreted as an acknowledgement that they had been experiencing trouble implementing the planned features of the RedMote Pro, decided to take a different approach to the technology, discovered a new way to enable these features in a more cost effective way, or decided to enhance the feature set.

By the way, Jarred has also said that follow-focus functionality is planned to be implemented in the RedMote as well, albeit with a less elegant implementation.
