  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

November 3rd logistics...

3rd is my partners births day but for this important day she have no problems to take our little girl and go to her parents a couple of days. So Im all set here! Would have been amazing to join you guys at the studio thoe!

i hope reservations aren't to exclusive I learned cinematography on the RED one at a film school right down the street and scarlet is releasing right as I graduate its all perfect timing for me
 
God, I wish I could be in Hollywood that day. Or should I say night, because it will be the middle of the night here...
 
I don't know what I exactly wait more:
to get ability to buy Scarlet in good price or to Red will win Canon! Canon is a hard nut to crack!

Can't make it to LA but I'm looking forward to early Friday morning here in the UK, 1am announcement, 2am orders..........a fine way to start the weekend :).
 
Speaking of the time - I know Jim's announcement is slated for 6pm PST, is that definitely PST not PDT?

I ask as here in the UK the clocks shift back a few days *before* the announcement, and my understanding is that the clocks change a few days *after* the announcement in the USA...

Are we talking about 6pm in UTC-7 or UTC-8 ?

Most days it wouldn't make a difference!....

Good point John. As I understand it the event is timed for 6pm local, it's PDT in LA now and clocks change there on November 6th, so it will still be PDT for the RED event on November 3rd - i.e. UTC -7 hrs (unless they really are talking 6pm PST......anyone from RED/California able to confirm?).

If it is 6pm PDT it will be 1am for 2am local here in the UK.
