Had anyone else had issues with hitting the record button, the fan slowing down, but that's all that happens? The touchscreen even locks up. All I can do then is hold down the power button to power the camera off. Tried it with multiple settings (resolution & compression ratios), but the only thing that fixes it is resetting to factory defaults. I've submitted a ticket, but was wondering if anyone else has had this issue?

I have had a similar issue except my fan speeds up, and the record indicator on the LCD turns yellow.. I haven't done any research on my issue nor have I updated the firmware on my epic since july, so good chance it's not even an "issue" anymore.. Between the 9 second boot up time and it only happening once every 2 or 3 hours, it never really mattered. Updating my firmware tonight as finally I have a little breather.

Please send me the log files and the name of the clip around where it happened. (deanan at red)

you talking to both of us? I wouldn't remember which clips it happened near as it was maybe 10 times total over the course of 5 days.. Is this not a common / older firmware issue?

Aaron, for you I'd recommend upgrading to the latest version.
