  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Called Red about RPP purchase. Got a weird answer.

Paul - you can buy the RPPs with full confidence as long as you take some of the servicing issues into consideration. They are really great lenses for the price. Maybe you should contact your local lens tech and just ask them if they can service them for you so you don't have to ship the lenses to CA for repair.

Jarred - any plans to offer optical elements for replacements?

FWIW, all my RPP's were spot-on when I received them.

My RPP's are seeing more and more demand all the time and lately I think the RPP's are in higher demand than the RED One.

I wouldn't doubt it. With so many PL mounted AF100's, F3's, Red1's, Epics, Alexa's, FS100's, and etc... soon to be more... there is a shortage of glass compared to the number of camera's flooding the market!

Wow - original RPP shims from Gecko-Cam. Why hasn't anyone blasted this all over the forums before? :-D
