  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

how to light at 300FPS??

Man, somebody has got to come up with an easier way to do this stuff! Super high ISOs? Software? Ultra powerful LEDs? Something!

Basically you'll have to light according to what you can see. Try setting your camera to 1/48 24fps, then switch to 1/60 60fps, same ISO for both. Big difference there, now switching that to 300fps with the according shutter speed is going to be massive.

Now, have you considered going with less fps and stretching things out with some software like Twixtor?

Well the simple answer is DC power. Short of that, plasma lighting does not flicker and the new remote phosphor lighting does not as well. Most professional cine use lights won't flicker at full power, but don't dim them as they are brightness regulated via pulse modulation, so will flicker like crazy. But who's gonna dim LEDs anyway? At high frame rates you'll need all the footcandles you can get. The Creamsource lights are super bright and will not flicker when dimming.
