  • Hey all, just changed over the backend after 15 years I figured time to give it a bit of an update, its probably gonna be a bit weird for most of you and i am sure there is a few bugs to work out but it should kinda work the same as before... hopefully :)

Hey fellow REDusers,

I'm thinking about relocating to Seattle some time this year and I'll be visiting the area this March (3/1 - 3/9). Therefore, I was wondering if there were any fellow REDusers in Seattle who would like to sit down for a coffee and chat. I'm hoping to connect to some people who are as passionate about RED as I am and who'd like to share some of their experiences in the Seattle area.

I'm actually working on relocation there as well. I'm from the Seattle area and ended up here in FL now. Trying to move by the end of March, so maybe if you end up relocating, we can meet up then.

I'm not sure what good I'd be as a contact, since I'm only near the start of my career, but networking is networking, right?
 
I am planning on being in the area for NFFTY at the end of april. I'd love to meet some people if they are in the area. Ditto to Glass's comment.
 
I will be in Seattle this week, and I am looking to do as much networking as possible. My wife and I are moving back to the area soon, and I'd like to establish as many contacts as I can. My available dates in town are 4/8-4/13 (Friday to Wednesday).

My interest in meeting up with someone still stands… since my last post in this thread, I've successfully re-located to Issaquah, WA. I've been working a fair bit, and am interested in making more friends and colleagues.
 
Seattle Red user here - I have a Scarlet X Canon mount coming (hopefully in December!). I'd love to find other owners interested in trading camera time, meaning you need a B cam, take mine for a couple of days, I need another cam for a multicam shoot, I take yours for a couple of days. I haven't really delved into setting up a rental business, and don't know how interested I am in that, but getting access to cameras in trade would be great for me. And it would be cool to meet other owner/operators in the area in addition to the couple that I've already shot with.

Cool, I grew up in Bellingham! I live in San Diego now but we have a production company in Seattle.
 
I wouldn't mind meeting up with some people sometime. I'm on the Eastside. Where would be a good place to meet? I'm thinking somewhere other than downtown due to the traffic problems there. Maybe Greenlake area? Or Everett if we want to make life easy for the Hamsters?

Now that's real Seattle talk! I'm an Epic M owner based here in Seattle. I'm heading to Japan on a shoot (actually praying for my Canon mount to arrive on time), but should be around in March. Would be cool to get together with other RED users. And if anyone up here has a Canon mount to rent I am actively looking. Need it for a two week shoot starting at the end of this month.
 
Hey Bellingham is a cool place. I dig it. Its so easy to shoot almost anything here. Im game to meet up in everett or really anywhere for that matter. The scarlet will be my first red cam, so ill be behind the curve. Ive shot the red one for people, just never done post. Ill probably be asking lots of questions. haha
