I was wondering if there is a ETA on when the new epic plugin will support EPIC audio. Currently the only way to hear audio is to use the latest redcine. The current CS5.5 plugin can not decode any of the audio recorded on the EPIC (it sees is as a flat line with down spikes and clicks).
Also any update on a beta support of magic motion for HDRX? :001_smile:

thanks!

Nope and nope ;)

Sorry can't give you any new info here...

Cheers

Lol...well thx for the answer. But at least I know you're aware of it. :sifone:

We just picked up PP Cs5.5 and noticed the same audio problem. You can use Redcine-x to export a R3D Trim file that will separate the audio but this defeats the workflow efficiency that we were hoping PP to achieve. We spent the morning going over this with Adobe tech support that seemed to be unaware of the problem. We have advised Red tech support as well.

Hi David,
Any movement on the Epic Audio? Really wanting to try the our EPIC out here with audio. Sure would be nice for a reference track versus syncing separate audio for rough cutting.
Any News?

Ray, we have a ticket open with Adobe tech support. Last week we provided Adobe tech support with a sample R3D file that included an audio file so they could work on the problem. We are hoping for a fix soon. Will advise when we hear something.

no need to go to tech support ;) I admit we don't handle it :) The EPIC SDK didn't support audio when we made our Epic release. It will need a new release from us. Not sure when we can pull that off..

Cheers

Dave

Are you thinking point release with upgrade cost? Is it better to hold off on PP for now; audio is kinda important for most stuff.

So has there been any updates on this. With more and more Epix X being delivered I would hope that audio could at least be enabled to work in premiere. As it stands it's a real hassle right now not having that feature enabled. Everything else in the plugin is great...but please let us have audio support soon! :)

Hoping for audio support soon as well.

That, and Magic Motion HDRx blending support.

I guess we're just asking for a new Adobe Labs plugin build which supports the latest Epic SDK stuff.

Cheers,

Paul :)

Adobe Epic audio support....anyone?.....anyone?...... ;)

i have looked into this and Autodesk Smoke looks to be the only one with audio support in Epic R3Ds. Sucks....

That's awesome news Dave!

Bonus points if you can wrap the Magic Motion HDRx blend into the plugin.

Cheers from Tokyo,

Paul :)
