Epic 1.6.40, REDMOTE working strangely ?

After updating to v. 1.6.40 (with the REDMOTE update), the REDMOTE is loosing connections when it is docked. It looses connection and cycle that very short period of time. Anyone experienced the same?

YES.....and if i walk about 6' from the camera i loose the connection.....but i've experienced this with past two version updates....is ANYONE getting a signal more than say 6' to 10' from the camera?? Would LOVE to know how we can get better connection--or if that is merely in a future upgrade. ?

whats the firmware of Redmote?

We are working on an update to the redmote that will improve range alot.
I don't have an ETA yet.

REDmote worked great yesterday from 19 feet (6 meters).

I reinstalled the camera firmware and it seems to fix the problem.

I believe (in my experience only) that it's kind of random.....but i FEAR getting more than 4-5' from the camera with the mote.....love the redmote idea....but not part of my normal workflow.....so will keep fingers crossed for a stable fix.

What Deanan posted to let us know is that RED will optimize the distance aside from my issue. So keep our fingers crossed for the improvement.
